Seeking Voids in the Public Domain

I imagine the public domain being a place. A sort of utopia that is as unorganised as the “old internet”, sans algorithm, sans heavy curation. An overgrown, unmonetised garden of high quality data.

Everything, if it’s old enough, develops holes. Even data. Gaps in the public domain are, you could say, gaps in our collective memory.

I’m not sure I want everything to be remembered though. I feel a little freedom here… maybe I’m tired of being told how things happened. I just want to believe something magical lived in those gaps, something we don’t have to be able to explain.
